I share my life events that have led to the inspiration of my designs, feature my friends designs and write articles on the historical evolution of fashion.
My blog is sometimes a mad jumbled mess but this is literally an insight into my mind, and how I create and inspire designs.Sassy_Sarahhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12592850888598041867noreply@blogger.comBlogger34125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954409890669640884.post-42638673629468986412016-01-12T10:14:00.000-08:002016-01-12T10:14:27.156-08:00Blog Feature: Firefly PathOn Facebook there are 3 costumers that I am a huge fan of: Firefly Path, YaYa Han & J.Hart Design.<br />
<br />
This week (After the release the coolest nerd wedding dress I have ever seen!) I am pleased to announce I have decided to feature Firefly Path.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
AND HERE IS THE DRESS THAT I CANNOT STOP RAVING ABOUT:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdS6lxCbsfEoYxSaVrmQJHGjnG9dZmofaOrd4hSd2Qp-Z41jlKmUfho0I1b4AcuEVT9T1Ez22coi8_RPuWntX_EvutMmRcV7ZlpE4RrIXYq5WoBDpsN-lFrg5jDCSdqqk3tsu5YiZz3von/s1600/934079_948022381955460_8647781284219822618_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="233" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdS6lxCbsfEoYxSaVrmQJHGjnG9dZmofaOrd4hSd2Qp-Z41jlKmUfho0I1b4AcuEVT9T1Ez22coi8_RPuWntX_EvutMmRcV7ZlpE4RrIXYq5WoBDpsN-lFrg5jDCSdqqk3tsu5YiZz3von/s320/934079_948022381955460_8647781284219822618_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is a Princess Zelda wedding gown! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
"A crystal clasp closes the collar/cape in front. The Hylian Crest is
embroidered on a silk apron, and the edges are framed with a thin silver
piping. A filigree and crystal belt then fastens to the apron.<br />
A high-low over shirt was designed to wear over the dress. The
white lace has clear crystals decorating the edges and neckline for a
little sparkle. The Elven collar/cape adds a extra layer of drama for
the walk down the aisle!"<br />
<br />
These designer's have taught me to lighten up on my perfectionism, and put your own twist on things. I am literally my own worst critic, and now I just go with the flow. I used to have the need to get EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL. CORRECT. or I would have a designers fit & give up on it for a while but not everyone is perfect and certainly not every single costume either, I thank these designer's for teaching me that lesson.<br />

Well I finally did it! I finally finnished it :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I mentioned in a previous post the Princess Belle dresses I was going to make</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Link to that post: </div>

<br />
I decided to get it together finally because I had half finished it last year and then got frustrated and put it away. With only two completed projects to show for 2015 I decided to finish off my half finished one's. Hopefully this leads to more completed one's because I also started a Harley Quinn costume & a Queen Amidala costume last year.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here's my final product!</div>

They require much less fabric.<br />
<br />
I had made one for my daughter as her first birthday party was supposed to be Beauty & The Beast themed. So here's how I did it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhupUu-aDmJk6dT-cnXzVTpPsUJE3bPTou4-X_QQ1fXB9I2JYYj8xegarQadDwyMxBUNrvMFOeJUFw9qvOnUuz-YIsjosfaOjMuEiZm4j0NRAWC4CLrj_A2ay-8PA0MWg4giORcx6ICTQn9/s1600/12472240_1654319988169468_3361854659335118147_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhupUu-aDmJk6dT-cnXzVTpPsUJE3bPTou4-X_QQ1fXB9I2JYYj8xegarQadDwyMxBUNrvMFOeJUFw9qvOnUuz-YIsjosfaOjMuEiZm4j0NRAWC4CLrj_A2ay-8PA0MWg4giORcx6ICTQn9/s320/12472240_1654319988169468_3361854659335118147_n.jpg" width="225" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found this snow white costume in my local thrift store for $5, but I got it for the reduced price of $4 because the under skirt was torn. That was an easy fix though! Obviously the first thing that I thought of when I seen it was "That skirt would be better on a Princess Belle costume" So guess what I did! I ripped it apart. I took my seam ripper & picked the skirt from the skirt and used the shirt to make a pattern for the new & improved belle shirt I was to add on and Voila! I came up with what you see below :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also kept what was left of the Snow White top and I plan on using it later, perhaps making a non historically accurate children's Tudor costume? I have yet to decide.</div>

Back when I posted almost everyday I lived a happier life. 2015 was a rough year for me, so therefore no posts. 2016 is starting to look up though, and with any luck I will be studying to be a Law Clerk at Northern College by the end of this month.<br />
<br />
Back in 2014 when I frequently updated my blog, I had recently found out I was pregnant so therefore underwent life changes (Moving to a bigger apartment etc.) In October 2014 we moved to a much bigger apartment, and in December 2014 we found out it was a girl! our happiness was unfortunately short lived. In January 2015 we found out her heart had stopped beating so she was to be stillborn and therefore I had to start off my new year by planning my daughters funeral, etc. When she died I felt like for the entirety of 2015 my happiness had died with her. I'm just now starting to get my life back together.<br />
<br />
I plan to start posting more frequently again, and here's to hoping 2016 will be a better year.<br />
<br />
Also since I am starting school I have obviously applied for OSAP but have started a gofundme page dedicated to raising money to help me eventually pay off my student loans. Feel free to check it out:<br />

These dresses are all by My Lady Bridal and these designs became my second favorite after Pnina Tornai.<br />
<br />
I quickly fell in love with their use of organza, lace & rhinestones, this became a stepping stone along the path of my design history. Thanks to designers like Pnina Tornai & My Lady Bridal I evolved into what I am now.<br />
<br />
My Lady Bridal is an Australian wedding dress company, and even now they are still designing these sexy princessy dresses though now they are much different than the one's that I seen in 2007-2009 & even more beautiful.<br />
<br />
You can check out their website by clicking the (rather faded) My Lady Logo beneath the slideshow. Or go to their facebook page:<a href="https://www.facebook.com/MyLadyAustralia"> https://www.facebook.com/MyLadyAustralia</a><br />

I'm a vampire in the game, it's supposed to be one of the most difficult characters to be, but one thing I've noticed about my character any clothing I am given usually makes me look half dressed.<br />
One costume you could see my characters underwear, I started wondering if there were any other costumes in game that would make me less naked so I got googling it and found that people actually make costumes to model themselves after their character.<br />
That seems pretty cool, though I would not dress like my character is dressing at the current moment I found a nice in game clothing set called the "Duchess"<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Though I think that the ladies in the below photo did a wonderful job I would probably use more luxe fabrics, and maybe add a hoop in the bottom of the purple layer to give it that roundness & bubble thing it has going on. Though I am sure it is hard to make a costume from a video game I could probably pull it off and make it look VERY similar to the online costume, I applaud anyone who has already tried and achieved in making this costume.</div>

Doesn't it look so funky? It looks terribly easy to make I think if I were to create a costume from a video game character I think I would try making this one first. (I may try it for Halloween) what do you think of these?<br />

The other day I got thinking about this more than usual and I wondered what a cosplay Belle costume would look like. WELL I found some of the best, I looked for both the blue dress that she wears in town as well as the classic yellow ball gown that EVERYONE remembers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found some pretty fantastical replica's and I'll admit I'm pretty tempted to make the blue one.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

(If I ever do make this I will be sure to post about it)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now the yellow one doesn't look as easy, I really don't think I would have enough patience to achieve such a thing.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There was one costume that I did not quite recall but I'll admit it's been a long time since I've watched this particular Disney movie but here it is:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEQRZ9PjOhTqmI7dlGgm_8JoUu4-t1yFeYT6FZKvj9tFRsWtPF1F9kkG52BOHbdlVkue9QEGJInqKFdMx89yKM90GI21O3PIibOr75e1q_drbw7FYOI5JIAkQwNqTUlPyyyshONhrq7W-T/s1600/1000x1000+(1).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEQRZ9PjOhTqmI7dlGgm_8JoUu4-t1yFeYT6FZKvj9tFRsWtPF1F9kkG52BOHbdlVkue9QEGJInqKFdMx89yKM90GI21O3PIibOr75e1q_drbw7FYOI5JIAkQwNqTUlPyyyshONhrq7W-T/s1600/1000x1000+(1).jpg" height="277" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If I were to make it I would probably be way more into the details than this (I'm a perfectionist) and that's probably why it always takes me so long to make any costume I decide to make. If I were to highly detail it, it would probably end up looking somewhat like this one:</div>

Daughter of a Venetian mother & German father, Antonia has always lived in Venice.<br />
Antonia began sewing at a young age. Since she was a young girl she started drawing her own costumes, attaching pearls, sewing fabrics and was blessed to be helped by an encouraging mother.<br />

But that's ok because if I could I would choose one of those too.<br />
So here is Katy Perry, Nikki Manaj, & Beyonce all as royals. Check them out!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Katy Perry: Killer Queen</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
Katy Perry advertising her new fragrance "Killer Queen" blew me away! I loved how she plays a seemingly Marie Antoinette character, and its amazing how she just grabs a knife from the one guy & just slices off the corset ties of her dress, because I'm sure Marie Antoinette would have tried that too if she thought of it (Marie Antoinette had a dislike of stays & corsets, which was good because turns out they were bad for your health)<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
wowzers! I would just like to say I loved this whole thing. It was like a mash up of Queen Elizabeth I & Marie Antoinette *So Inpiring* I just wish that I could have seen the rest of the costumes of her ladies in waiting. I would so be tempted to make a replica of those costumes.</div>

Antonia Sautter (2001)<br />
<br />
Thanks to my friend Natalia Tjiang I have discovered what may be my new favorite costume designer.<br />
In 2013 she went on a trip to Italy & they made a stop in Venice. Just recently I was going through the many photo's of her trip on Facebook and I found one that was a picture of pretty dresses in a shop window and I just had to Google it.<br />
<br />

<br />
Up until then I did not know that the Carnival of Venice even existed and in the caption on her photo it mentioned "carnival costumes" So I started with the search word "Carnival costumes Venice" and found a whole bunch of wonderfulness.<br />
Even though what I found I liked I was determined to find the exact designer of the costumes in the picture. I particularly liked the pink costume (Pink is my favorite color) so I searched for "Venice carnival costume designers" and found Antonia Sautter (as well as Stefano Nicolao) and turns out it was Antoina's shop in this picture:<br />

More than anything I like making historical costumes. So when I find someone that makes similar costumes I get very happy. Though I am pretty much fangirling over this right now, I make otherwise historically accurate costumes because..well I'm a perfectionist, but Antonia Sautter makes them for the glamour of the Carnival of Venice.<br />

Located in 3 boutiques in the Piazza San Marco (St. Marks square, Venice, Italy) she sells her fashion creations, she is well known for being the creator and organizer of Il Ballo Del Doge the costume ball held each year during the Carnival of Venice.<br />
Her shop contains over 2000 of her creations, and also books appointments and makes custom designs.<br />
The pictures shown in the slideshow below are but of few of her gorgeous creations.<br />

This is from one of Pnina's first collections, this dress is from the 2007 collection (Pnina started designing in 2005) There wasn't much to find about this dress online other than "A sleeveless floor length ballgown, with a front slit in the satin over layer revealing the tulle under layer" </div>

I wish I knew the original price, but in the fashion world 2007 is so long ago I'm lucky I even could still find the photo's for it. Isn't it pretty?</div>

(Diana later met Grace Kelly at the same event, and exchanged advice as Grace too had gone from "Commoner" to "Royalty")</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There was rather mixed opinions about this dress. Diana had even fretted about the dress as it was very revealing and her cleavage was seen when getting out of the limo or that it was unbecoming as it was two sizes too small. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After that event it was the day that changed the Emanuel's lives, they became noticed by the media and the paparazzi seemed to flock to their little four story studio, there were Paparazzi on roof's trying to get a winning shot, and journalists camped outside all waiting for Diana. The Emanuel's of course did some TV interviews and were so popular all at once that they had to let film crews in one at a time as there was very little space for much more.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So of course the next dress to be designed for Diana was her wedding dress. The Emanuel's consulted with Maureen Baker (She had made Princess Anne's wedding dress) as to what was appropriate & what was not, royal requirements, etc.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They also in the beginning had a safe installed in which to keep the fabric, pattern, sketches, etc. as they later realized making a royal wedding dress is a high security thing, and even the team that was hired all had ID cards that were required to be shown to the security guards before being allowed access to anything involving the royal wedding dress.</div>

Princess Diana wore this on October 31st 1985 in Melbourne Australia at a ball in the Southern Cross Hotel. A very creative head piece if I might add.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Though Diana in the end liked many designers one of the first was David & Elizabeth Emanuel. They as you can see above, made many of Princess Diana's garments. Sadly after the death of Princess Diana the Emanuel's marriage came to an end and they're also well known for their nasty divorce in 1990. In my opinion some of the best garments they ever made were created during the time of Diana.</div>

<br />
I had to start with this one, Princess Diana's wedding dress was the first wedding dress I knew of besides my mothers. For the longest time I idolized this dress.<br />
When I was little I planned to have a dress just like this one. Now I don't exactly want a dress like this one but definitely the same wow effect, because that's what Princess Diana was aiming for a wow effect. The train on her dress beat a world record it was a whopping 25 feet long. That's wow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIHlF_w2wr0yd4A4-9b8G29FKZmtW1duCyDC-BuoHvsMy1yNi1hIXjMPIoxGQL_cu2xt_-9kIOyBJQIrOIFK81WuqB8IohL4QbowqDkf0NWhA2u-x1OEYBqazaeK8p1rsMJecnk5EcAjbo/s1600/Princess_Diana_wedding_dress16.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIHlF_w2wr0yd4A4-9b8G29FKZmtW1duCyDC-BuoHvsMy1yNi1hIXjMPIoxGQL_cu2xt_-9kIOyBJQIrOIFK81WuqB8IohL4QbowqDkf0NWhA2u-x1OEYBqazaeK8p1rsMJecnk5EcAjbo/s1600/Princess_Diana_wedding_dress16.jpg" height="320" width="287" /></a></div>
<br />
It is probably one of the most famous wedding dresses in the world, and definitely the best kept secret.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz43fkwCzKserp1yq3Xgb-VUterSPSuxEC0XYQnU1BRlKubXASriT1pGIFTAtSHR21K0NSBwePcjveNKcd_0uplXi-DDlYsRAfTTrfsUeHnBkdIKLMtnPj1EySXXPRUFDvSXqGyFAVLRxb/s1600/Emanuel2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz43fkwCzKserp1yq3Xgb-VUterSPSuxEC0XYQnU1BRlKubXASriT1pGIFTAtSHR21K0NSBwePcjveNKcd_0uplXi-DDlYsRAfTTrfsUeHnBkdIKLMtnPj1EySXXPRUFDvSXqGyFAVLRxb/s1600/Emanuel2.jpg" height="200" width="181" /></a></div>
<br />
It was David & Elizabeth Emanuel who designed & created it. The subject of the royal gown was so popular in the media they even created a second design in case the original was found out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJgqwgAvzYn1jnK5-kKGHs4ISeBV74AxyWXO8icQG3H00IPgmLMkcjvhu0gYeTRwTi5n_2Be3QtY0ooc6v3K7H2fF_N0NUfO27xnXxQ-cZxrSZbyJ97UpYw8fGCqRhu-_ofp4nKln3i2Bs/s1600/princess-diana-2-440.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJgqwgAvzYn1jnK5-kKGHs4ISeBV74AxyWXO8icQG3H00IPgmLMkcjvhu0gYeTRwTi5n_2Be3QtY0ooc6v3K7H2fF_N0NUfO27xnXxQ-cZxrSZbyJ97UpYw8fGCqRhu-_ofp4nKln3i2Bs/s1600/princess-diana-2-440.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To keep everyone off the scent they burned any scraps that were left from the making of the dress due to the fact that the media was literally going through their garbage just to find a fabric sample or even a piece of thread to do with Diana's dress.<br />
<br />
Though the dress production was later moved from the Emanuel's studio and moved to Buckingham palace, where not only Diana could more easily get fittings but because the 25 foot train became too big for the shop. A wing of the palace was literally cordoned off so not even palace staff could access it because a press leak could absolutely not be risked at that point.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The dress was accessorized with the Spencer family tiara & low heeled shoes.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Diana's dress was made of woven silk taffeta, with a large ballgown dress embroidered with pearls (10,000 pearls to be exact) & sequins, with it's bodice frilled with lace. The lace used to trim Diana's dress was antique handmade Carrickmacross lace.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
The train was so long the Emanuel's hadn't thought in practice how they would fit it, Princess Diana and her father all into the glass carriage and unfortunately her dress was badly wrinkled when she arrived at the cathedral. Here you can see how wrinkled the front of her dress was:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2HwmFPSunzA7ZCFfMWZeCB6SuJO0WT1wLAHQsQ1OyIrGoc06rykSDPB733eOFcb0Jb_pblwH3e4LPL3qVkFhXR0a3HMZpDcRNSZ9-oldlWVKjHkwGerz77cwgVaSVgmIbmT_Tea5hol9s/s1600/diana-3--a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2HwmFPSunzA7ZCFfMWZeCB6SuJO0WT1wLAHQsQ1OyIrGoc06rykSDPB733eOFcb0Jb_pblwH3e4LPL3qVkFhXR0a3HMZpDcRNSZ9-oldlWVKjHkwGerz77cwgVaSVgmIbmT_Tea5hol9s/s1600/diana-3--a.jpg" height="320" width="210" /></a></div>
<br />
Sadly not everyone thought this dress was amazing one bridal guide commented "Too much dress, Not enough Princess"<br />
I also remember my father commenting that it was such a waste of fabric that it was sickening how long her train was. There weren't many replica's made of her dress but in my opinion that's fine because it's unique and not many people could make it look as wonderful as Princess Diana did.<br />

Now when I say like I don't mean that I like it as much as the 2010 finale dress, I don't think I could ever like another dress more than that one but sometimes some of Pnina's other dresses come pretty close.<br />
<br />
This year its style # 4281:<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This I would not necessarily wear this as a wedding dress though I'm sure if you're having a beach wedding this would probably be perfect BUT I would wear this as a maxi dress in the summer. In fact thanks to this dress it has inspired a maxi dress which I am going to be making for myself to wear this summer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Think its the ruffled sleeves that makes me like it so much ruffled sleeves are so Marie Antoinette esque and the lace makes it so lady like I cant help but want it. Here's some more pictures *drool*</div>

<br />
I would like to introduce my favorite wedding dress designer: Pnina Tornai.<br />
Exclusive to Kleinfeild Bridal her dresses are perfect for the princess kind of bride. Lots of bling and ballgowns this is my kryptonite. <br />
<br />
Every week I watch Say Yes To The Dress on TLC, I am not even kidding you about how excited I get every time there's a Pnina Tornai gown shown, but there has always been one gown in particular that I've always loved and it's the 2010 finale gown. Such as when this episode aired:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/6s2smw8fyzs?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
A huge ballgown with a ruffled skirt & the ruffles take on a flower like shape and I litterally just love everything about this gown & have ever since the moment I seen it, but there's just one problem: it's $25,000. So basically it's a dress I can only dream of. I can't help but love it none the less.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
It's not just popular with me either Kleinfeild women's featured this dress in their article about what type of wedding dress Kate Middleton would wear in 2011 (<a href="http://www.kleinfeldwomens.com/blog.cfm?postid=1148&posttitle=Princess-Diaries-">http://www.kleinfeldwomens.com/blog.cfm?postid=1148&posttitle=Princess-Diaries-</a>) . I just love this dress so much I thought I would share it with the world :)</div>

I spent this morning blogging about my friend Natalia Tjiang & found on Pinterest that some of you wonderful veiwers have shared some of my posts on Pinterest. Thank you this is a very big deal for me.<br>
I know that every few months or so I quit blogging and I thought that since my blog had been so neglected by me it was one of those blogs that had fallen through the cracks and was veiwed by very few. I have been most happily been proven wrong. <br>
My post about Marie Antoinette seemss to be the most popular one posted on Pinterest so in the future I will keep up with this & try not to disappoint all you wonderful veiwers.</p>

<span style="color: black;">I</span> have over the past 2 years watched Natalia's talent evolve and the progression of her success.<br />
This is probably one of my favorite designs yet, although with all her creations I have to say I have many favorites as its so hard just to choose one, but this one...THIS ONE. <br />
:) was particularly amazing because it ended up turning out so wonderful she created a second one in blue. I was able to admire the overall function of the red dress when she wore it for her birthday & again at New Years. C'est la Magnifique!</div>

It has been a long time planning everything but eventually I shall get married, and when that day comes my friend Natalia is going to be the lucky lady to create my bridesmaids dresses. Browsing online I absolutely COULD NOT find the perfect dresses for what I wanted my bridesmaids to resemble! I wanted my wedding to be sort of whimsical with my bridesmaids as fairies, the colors had to be pink & purple but none that I found fit all of my requirements so I decided to opt for custom <span style="color: black;">designs</span></div>

Spring is in the air! I'm so excited, I am emerging out of my winter hibernation like a butterfly out of a cocoon. To start the season off here is a perfect floral dress, that I would definitely create if I had the material!</div>

This is a demonstration of what many layers need to be made to make an accurate Tudor costume</div>

<br />
Beginning soon after this post will be the start of a 11 part series describing each of these layers. I hope you all enjoy this brief video showing each layer & what you all can look forward to.<br />

Here's a look that I thought would be fab & funky with a bit of edge.<br />
<br />
This combines numerous trends of 2013: Neon, lace, peplum & animal accents (animal print & feathers)</div>
<div dir="ltr">
This would prob make a good preppy but semi casual prom dress.I absolutely could not resist the shoes.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVcb-HS1lnoIjAXNme2gNvVT-uNKk-GQq2PXxbqSySsc2drfrFWfB5winQ3PEqeFB-p4Cnyu43nmRxM_1TKdZWjxSvLf9GgKtdwLn54LD7f8MqD0gl1yUupl6yB4wqKEY7f-oLpAWxHAod/s1600/untitled.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVcb-HS1lnoIjAXNme2gNvVT-uNKk-GQq2PXxbqSySsc2drfrFWfB5winQ3PEqeFB-p4Cnyu43nmRxM_1TKdZWjxSvLf9GgKtdwLn54LD7f8MqD0gl1yUupl6yB4wqKEY7f-oLpAWxHAod/s400/untitled.bmp" width="400" /></a><br />
<br />
If you want to go for a less wild & more classy look you could pair some black lace heels with it.I chose these particular shoes however because not only did I want to add a little edge to the look, animal print is still stylish.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br />
Although right now as a main element in a dress animal print is not as fabulous as it once was (2011-2012) its great in the little details.<br />
